Why I made a summer dress in winter
Updated: Mar 16, 2020
This blog post is a cooperation with Minerva. They gifted me this beautiful floral georgette fabric which I used to make a Viki dress by Vikisews patterns.
I have always liked summer so much more than winter, and even though I definitely didn’t need a summer dress (especially not in January), I really did want to make one. The fabric itself is so beautiful! It’s light and flowy and I love the floral print.
The Viki dress pattern is a beautiful summer dress with long sleeves and cute ruffles. I made a size 36 and height 154-160 – which turns out is a little short on me, as I’m 161cm. But it’s fine for summer ;-)
I took these pictures outsides as it was a sunny day. I don’t know if you can tell but it was SO COLD! I had to wear my big warm winter coat in between pictures. It’s definitely not easy to take pictures of summer dresses in winter ;-) I hope you like the pictures and the dress I made! I can’t wait for it to be warm enough here in Austria so I can finally wear it!
